Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking an off-shift Production Manager to provide leadership to the team and be responsible for all aspects of operations including personnel, productivity, and on-time delivery. Manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to process improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and performance. Deploy company policies and strategies to staff throughout the manufacturing operation and translate them into business and team goals.

Hours can be the following:

+ 3:00pm - 1:00am CST

+ 4:00pm - 2:00am CST

+ 5:00pm - 3:00pm CST

A Day In The Life

+ Manage and direct overall off-shift operations.

+ Manage/Coach Production Supervisors and provide development and training.

+ Maintain a safe working environment consistent with all local, state and OSHA requirements.

+ Originate, measure, and improve key indicators for the production team (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Labor effectivity, Inventory and Cost).

+ Continue to enhance the LEAN culture by doing the following:

+ Ensure the production area maintains a clean, well-organized environment through "continuous improvement" and 5S.

+ Implement and drivs "continuous improvement" activities by eliminating non valued added activities in the manufacturing process (waste elimination).

+ Coordinate overall manufacturing and maintenance operations.

+ Work closely with Production Control and Quality to complete orders on time.

+ Maintain positive employee relations in a union environment.

+ Drive accountability of Production Leadership and Hourly workforce

+ Assist the Manufacturing Engineer with the design and installation of product lines and with projects relating to new products and/or processes as well as with the design and maintenance of fixturing and tooling requirements for all processes.

+ Ensures production schedules are met.

What will help you thrive in this role?

+ 5-7 years Manufacturing leadership experience

+ Foundry and/or Machining experience preferred

+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

+ Knowledge of assembly/fabrication/machinery & preventative maintenance desirable

+ Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and training skills

+ Bachelors Degree preferred

+ SAP experience preferred

+ Must be willing to work flexible hours across shifts

+ Dynamic, results-oriented, metric driven, disciplined leadership

+ Staff development and employee engagement skills

+ Experience working in a union environment preferred
