JOB DESCRIPTION -
(INTERN) Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand business processes and controls to define data analytics strategies to monitor controls activities
Deliverable: Assist in the design and requirements gathering of control monitoring KPIs to determine ongoing control effectiveness
Work closely with IT SMEs to integrate control compliance source data with disparate systems to generate monitoring metrics/KPIs to regularly evaluate control effectiveness and detect potential weaknesses or anomalies.
Deliverable: Create KPIs for Cyber controls to evaluate execution, completeness, and accuracy
Develop and regularly generate reports and dashboards to communicate monitoring results and findings to key stakeholders.
Deliverable: Create high level dashboarding and reporting of monitoring KPIs for management consumption
Provide recommendations for enhancing control effectiveness and mitigating risks based on data-driven insights.
Basic Qualifications for Support Personnel
Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science or related field
2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a compliance, audit, or risk management environment
2+ years of experience in an agile or scrum environment
Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis with experience using SQL, Python, R, or similar.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Experience developing metrics for a continuous controls monitoring program is a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and control frameworks (e.g., SOX, COSO) is a plus
