EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM: This position is eligible for an employee referral incentive payment of $1,000.00 (conditions apply).
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position works closely with the Division's Director, Managers, Data Statistical Specialist and program specialists to provide up-to-date and accurate statistical data entry and data quality control for information received from Arizona probation departments. The position maintains permanent files and records related to statistics gathered from and related to the probation departments. This position operates with limited direction and is responsible for providing advanced-level support regarding statistical information related to probation services. In addition, this position is also responsible for assisting in the testing of any new enhancements related to the submission of statistical data or the reporting of the data. The position is a critical component to publishing the annual data reports reflecting the work of all the probation departments in the state and will assist with publishing information and creating data dashboards on the public website.
This position will also assist in the design and implementation of statewide initiatives, grants, and projects in cooperation with state and local court and community correction professionals and provide virtual and onsite training to court personnel on how to utilize and navigate the processes for submitting relevant data.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, computer science, social science, or related field with appropriate research methodology and statistics coursework. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement and at least five years of statistical research experience.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Microsoft ODBC interface. The ability to work effectively with judges, staff, and the public, effectively and independently handle a number of tasks, projects, and administrative assignments simultaneously, and the ability to plan, schedule, and control the flow of work, as well as work with minimal supervision and instruction. This position also requires demonstrated proficiency in various tracking databases, information technology, internet, and Microsoft products, particularly Excel.
The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree or a Ph.D. in criminal justice, social science, or a related field with appropriate research methodology and statistical coursework.
Travel level: up to 25% within the state of Arizona. Must have a valid driver's license.
