Cyber Security Analyst
to join our Information Technology team! This position will focus on auditing against established cyber related policies and the implementation of operating procedures. This role will conduct cyber related onboarding, training, and security awareness testing. This role requires an individual adept in all areas of cyber security, with particular skills in identifying, analyzing, and neutralizing cyber threats, requiring experience with Azure and the M365 administration. This individual must understand emerging cybersecurity advancements and effectively communicate them to the business. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, and an excellent communicator with broad knowledge of cybersecurity and the risk management landscape.
While this role may offer flexible work arrangements that can include a mix of in-office and remote work, our changing business needs will ultimately determine our level of remote-work flexibility. Additionally, to promote in-person collaboration and client teaming, we prioritize hiring those who reside within 50 miles of a Rincon office which currently includes: Carlsbad, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Riverside, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. Please note, this position is listed for the City of San Diego but is also available at all the locations stated in this job description.
Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain, document, and establish standard operating procedures to further secure client and internal data lifecycles Participate in incident response, threat intelligence, and forensic support functions Perform SOC operations to include monitoring, reporting, and response to malicious activity Consult with key stakeholders regarding information system vulnerabilities and remediation in an understandable and educational format Assist and train other staff and subconsultants on threats, audit techniques, and support Support and research security and compliance requirements according to regulatory requirements, firm policy, data classification, risk, client commitments, etc. Support and execute enhancements for the cyber security program Conduct security audits, tests, and assessments, analysis and reporting of results Provide notifications of updated compliance requirements to technology functions due to client, regulatory and firm policy updates Manage and prioritize multiple clients and projects Safeguard and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive information Perform other job related duties as assigned
This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:
Bachelor's degree in computer security or related field desired 2+ years of experience in enterprise cyber compliance and administration Demonstrated experience in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating sophisticated cyber threats Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security tools (Entra/Purview/Defender/InTune) experience preferred Microsoft Azure experience Understanding and interest in Artificial Intelligence as it relates to cyber security and communication Process automation and database experience preferred Ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment of security and technology Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment, and to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills Available outside of regular business hours for time sensitive tasks IT-related certifications (i.e., CompTIA Sec+, Cysa, CISSP) preferred

The base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$100,000, plus a generous benefits program. At Rincon, our salary ranges are based on market median of similar jobs, according to third party salary benchmark surveys. The base pay that is actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
