Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Shift: Positions require flexibility to work between the hours of 7am-6pm (1 hour lunch), and one Saturday per month 7am-12pm.Hours: Full time, 32, 36 or 40 hours a weekDepartment: Outpatient LabMinimum rate of pay: $17.33 per hour +Location: Qualified applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to all Clinical Lab Locations: Ann Arbor, Brighton, Canton, Fowlerville, Livonia, Milan, Plymouth, Ypsilanti.This is not a summer only opportunity - team members must be able to maintain a consistent schedule. NOTE: ALL New Team Members must be able to fulfill mandatory full-time training. The training is Monday-Friday, during normal business hours, and will last 2 weeks minimum. Qualified candidates must have open availability to meet this requirement.POSITION PURPOSEPerforms phlebotomy, specimen receipt, processing, specimen distribution, computer order entry and/or requisition completion, and other pre-analytical tasks as required. Tracks specimens through appropriate computer functions when available, to ensure that all specimens are routed accurately and in a timely manner. Assures complete and accurate patient samples, patient demographics, and diagnosis codes are provided, and submits to the laboratory for testing. Required Qualifications: Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of phlebotomy, medical assistant or patient care technician training.Experience Previous phlebotomy experience preferred if formal training and certification as a phlebotomist is not obtained.Total Rewards and Benefits: Competitive compensation, DAILYPAYBenefits effective Day One! Aliquots and adjusts pH of 24-hour urine specimens as required by location.Follows test cancellation policy and completes follow-up tasks as needed.
