Accounting intern



Position andSummary Reporting: Reporting to theSr. Accountant, the Accounting Intern will directly assist Sr.Accountant with a wide range of projectsrelated to accounting projects.

Qualifications

§ Business Administration, Accounting, Financeor related major.

§ Minimum 3.0 GPA

§ Experience with Microsoft Office and GoogleSuites

§ Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program.

§ Part-time 10 to 20 hours a week from January 22 to May 9, 2025

§ Ability to work independently.

§ Must be available for in person office hours based onoffice hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

  • Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, American Express billing, and accounts receivable.
  • Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
  • Records Journal entries and verifies documentation for each entry
  • Shadowing members of the accounting department as they perform their duties.
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Working with Accounting software.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learning how to work as part of the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the organization.
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
