CONFIDENTIAL is hiring: HYBRID Sr Accounting Manager in Appleton

As part of  the Accounting team, this position is responsible for high level financial reporting to senior finance management and to various external entities in accordance with required accounting standards and regulations. This position is assigned to a combination of internal and external reporting and analysis responsibilities and financial accounting projects. 

How You Will Make a Difference: 

• Responsible for month end closing by preparing and entering closing journal entries, focus is on more complex reserves and accrual calculations. 
• · Analyze month end results and consolidate variance explanations.  
• · Prepare, coordinate, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to internal management and corporate.  Maintains accurate brand financial statements consistent with VF reporting guidelines and in accordance with GAAP.  
• Prepare account reconciliations of assigned accounts and prepare analysis and reporting on all reconciled accounts. 
• Manage special projects and ad hoc reporting. 
• Mentors accounting staff by providing individual guidance and technical expertise.
• Managing monthly and year-end closing process for the brand team to achieve objectives of accurate and timely financial results. 

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5 years of related experience preferred, in Accounting position.

Educational/ Position Requirements: 

• ·Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• ·CMA or CPA License Preferred 
• Advanced Excel and PC skills required; SAP experience preferred 
• Ability to work independently  
• Energetic self-starter  
• Ability to handle and resolve to completion, complex issues  
• High level of integrity required  
• Must be able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment  
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
