Client Accounting/Advisory Supervisor Job at Patrick & Raines, LLC in Jackso
Patrick & Raines, LLC, Jacksonville, FL, US
Job Description
This individual will lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. This position offers excellent opportunities for leadership and career advancement to the right candidate.
Our Vision for this position
We envision our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) manager to not only be a senior tax preparer who can complete a tax return to the level of minimal review & rework by the tax manager/partners, but also someone who can coordinate & manage write-up work, payroll processing & returns (we process most of our returns through ADP), sales tax returns, tangible returns, and preparation of non-attest financial statements (or other engagements in the absence of another Manager). This unique person would need to be super organized and begin documenting our workflows, standardizing our transmittal letters and processes, bringing consensus among the staff accountants and championing a unified "P&R way" of doing things. He/she would also be responsible for being the "go-to" expert on the various apps available to streamline our CAAS offerings such as Xero, QBO, Bill.com, LedgerSync, Gusto, etc. This person will not only be training the new staff on our "App Stack" but also identifying clients who could benefit from a more streamlined process (Apps), meeting with and selling those clients on the benefit, on-boarding those clients and then transitioning the ongoing maintenance of those clients to the accounting staff. The ultimate goal would be to “package” the conversion of manual client accounting processes into a standardized, possibly more automated, workflow either supervised or assisted by the firm. Developing and supervising “Advisory” engagements under the Thomson Reuters Practice Forward model will be a big part of the job function.
