Warehouse Manager - $50k salary

Kelly Services is seeking a warehouse floor manager for a leading cookie producer in Augusta, GA. This role is a salaried long-term contract role that pays $50,000 plus benefits that include 3 weeks of PTO, paid holidays, health and life insurance, and 401k. The hours are night shift and are on a rotating DUPONT shift. Hours are 6:45p-7a and one week you would work MON/TUES/FRI/SAT and the next week you would work SUN/WED/THURS and stay on that rotation.
Must have at least 2 years of warehouse manager experience and be comfortable using a computer.
The principle responsibilities of a Floor Manager are to maintain the standard expected by managing and producing the highest quality product during their shift. The primary responsibility of the position is safety, quality and production.
Outline:
- Manage a shift/team consisting of 1-5 lines of production and approximately 6-60 associates/shift maintaining safety, quality, production, and HR.
- Effectively partner with our client, in departments including but not limited to safety, quality, production, HR, maintenance, shipping/receiving.
- Attend and engage in monthly training(s) for QA/Safety/professional development.
Safety:
- Attend the monthly safety meeting.
- Ensure all associates entering the production floor are following ALL PPE and GMP requirements.
- Provide PPE when necessary, in cooperation with safety/staffing.
- Complete the safety audit sheet.
- Provide corrective documentation for safety infractions.
- Understand and communicate the schedule and attainment for each shift/product, verify batch codes and piece count verifications on all lines prior to the start of the shift.
- Ensure paperwork (HACCP) for all positions on the floor is readily available for teammates and is being executed properly.
- Escalates and communicates any incidents, issues and/or failures in timely manner accordingly the escalation trees for quality, food safety and sanitation.
- Participates in Quality/QAR checks, to ensure product produced is to standard and if not escalates to appropriate teams, determines root cause analysis, and puts corrective actions in place in collaboration with contributing departments.
- Provides leadership, motivation, training, guidance, and counsel to all production teammates.
- Responsible for on-the-job training and development of teammates/direct reports.
- Provide input into performance of teammates on the shift including corrective documentation, evaluations, and investigations should the need arise.
- Work in cooperation with upper management to ensure that maintenance, shipping, QA, safety and production needs are identified and escalated.
- Understand the machinery and equipment in Co-Pack and have a baseline understanding to troubleshoot minor issues that may occur during a shift, strictly adhering to escalation timeframe for maintenance and support.
- Involved in the development of programs in safety, QA, and production to enhance performance/efficiency and assist in the implementation and maintenance of such programs.
- Verify WIP and materials needed for each production run/product by effectively partnering with the shipping department.
- Completion of SIMS board and shift summaries to be provided to leadership providing explanation for the shifts performance in all areas of the operation including safety, QA, production and HR.
- Executes a shift reconciliation at the conclusion of the shift with incoming floor manager; communicating the prior shifts performance and ensuring a smooth transition.
