The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking dedicated and experienced Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles and methodologies, along with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS). A Secret Clearance is required for this role.
Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.
Duties/Responsibilities
Review and track cybersecurity information including exploration analysis and threat analysis.
Lead Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities for DoD Systems in accordance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Conduct threat and risk assessments and provide risk reports and briefings.
Conduct and analyze vulnerability assessments to validate system compliance with RMF controls and DISA Security Technical Information Guidelines (STIGs).
Perform testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities on a broad range of NSS and DBS systems.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent, plus four (4) years of experience RMF (may substitute education for eight (8) years + of direct experience with RMF).
Working knowledge of DODINST 8510.01, DODINST 8500.01, OPNAVINST 5239.1D, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-30, RMF Process Guide (RPG) v2.0, FISMA, OMB A-130, and other policy and guidance documents supporting Navy RMF.
Familiarity with eMASS, ACAS, STIG Reader, and other cybersecurity management tools.
Outstanding written and verbal skills.
Active SECRET clearance.
Preferred: Security +, CISSP and other related cybersecurity certifications.
Qualification as a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV).
