Job Description
Position Summary: Driverge Vehicle Innovations is seeking a skilled Microsoft Business Central Administrator and Analyst to manage, optimize, and analyze our Dynamics 365 Business Central system within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for both the technical administration and functional analysis of Business Central, ensuring system efficiency and alignment with business processes. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments in our Akron, OH location to configure the system, support users, and leverage data to drive operational improvements.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:
System Administration:
- Business Central Configuration & Maintenance:
- Administer and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring system stability, performance, and data integrity.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings to maintain compliance and protect sensitive information.
- Perform routine system updates, backups, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operation.
- System Integration:
- Integrate Business Central with other systems such as CRM, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to support system upgrades, migrations, and any required customizations.
- Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Monitor system performance and proactively address any technical issues.
- Identify and resolve errors, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies in the system.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to users, assisting them with system-related issues.
Business Analysis & Support:
- Process Optimization & Customization:
- Collaborate with manufacturing, finance, and supply chain teams to identify areas where Business Central can streamline processes or increase efficiency.
- Customize and configure modules to meet the specific needs of manufacturing processes such as production planning, inventory management, and quality control.
- Data Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics using Power BI, SQL, or other reporting tools to support business decision-making.
- Analyze data within Business Central to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement in production, inventory, and financial management.
- User Support & Training:
- Provide functional support to Business Central users, assisting them with system navigation and process improvements.
- Conduct user training sessions and create instructional materials to enhance system usage.
- Facilitate ongoing workshops to encourage adoption of system updates and best practices.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Planning:
- Enhancement & Upgrades:
- Research new Business Central features and updates, and recommend improvements or system upgrades that will enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with department heads to align Business Central functionalities with evolving business strategies and goals.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage Business Central projects, from initial scoping through implementation and post-go-live support.
- Define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring smooth and timely completion.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Business Central configuration, security settings, and customization options.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, and other reporting tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, including production planning, inventory, and supply chain management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with system integration tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of finance and accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems and SaaS platforms.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Able to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.)
- Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
