The Parkchester North Condominium (PNC) is a residential community on 44 acres in the Bronx, NY. It has 55 buildings, 3,985 residential units, and 16 commercial spaces. It is the northern section of the Parkchester Condominiums ("Parkchester"), which comprises 2 condominiums and a total of 171 buildings. Residents of PNC enjoy the proximity of grocery and drug stores, laundromats, dry cleaners, convenience stores, a cinema, Macy's and other clothing stores, restaurants, delis, child care centers, banks, a post office, and other retail merchants in the condominium and surrounding area.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Reporting directly to the Director of Resident Services, the Receptionist is responsible for performing routine clerical administrative duties, receive the public and provides customer assistance on the phone and in person.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

· Develops and maintains office forms and procedures and assists with administrative tasks.

· Answers central telephone system and screens calls accordingly.

· Receives the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone; responds to general inquiries from employees and residents and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official or department.

· Operate office equipment as required.

· Prepares outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mail.

· Duplicates and distributes materials.

· Composes, types and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda and other material as needed.

· Resolves issues regarding key fobs and assignments of new key fobs to tenants and owners.

· Assist, when necessary, other departments with clerical tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· This job operates in a professional office environment so the candidate must present themselves in a professional manner

 

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Some knowledge of Yardi.
