New Story School in Lancaster is seeking a qualified Social Worker (Master's level LSW) to provide a variety of direct and indirect services to students, families, and school personnel to improve academic, social-emotional, and behavioral outcomes.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides a continuum of services to students
- Provides group services utilizing evidence-based programs
- Provides individual counseling to achieve targeted social and emotional goals or meet short-term needs
- Assists students and families in accessing community resources and provides case management.
- Facilitates interagency communication with community-based mental health providers.
- Leads and/or participates in MTSS meetings, IEP meetings, student teaming, program meetings, SAIP Meetings, etc.
- Participates in admissions review, interview, and case consultation for new students.
- WORK SKILLS
- Assesses students' risk of harm to self and others and facilitates access to emergency services.
- Consults with school team on barriers to success (e.g., attendance, homelessness, abuse, or neglect).
- Facilitates interagency communication with community-based mental health providers.
