SUMMARY Perform business development (BD) functions with an ancillary focus on capture management and proposal management duties. Our diverse business offerings span a wide array of industries such as Live Training, Healthcare, Information Technology, Logistics Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Range Maintenance, and other professional services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Identify opportunities and support the BD lifecycle with activities such as utilizing existing customer contact list to generate meetings for sole source opportunities, responding to requests for information (RFIs)/Sources Sought, responding to request for proposals (RFPs), assisting with price volumes and reviewing technical/past performance volumes (as applicable). Lead Business Development activities to identify sole source Department of Defense (DoD) & Federal Contracting opportunities across a wide array of business lines. Collaborate with Government Contracting Officers/Specialists, Government Program/Portfolio Managers, and other Government acquisition decision makers to identify and capitalize on sole source opportunities Support the generation and maintenance of capabilities brief materials. Collaborate with Government agencies to schedule capabilities briefings. Maintain business development pipelines and CRM repositories. Review Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements as prepared by the Contracts Team. Provide capture management & proposal management support, as needed, across all phases of the acquisition process (Requirements analysis, proposal scheduling, subcontracts/teaming collaboration, technical writing/editing, pricing analysis, business volume creation and production). Perform editing and proofreading of all non-price proposal content, as needed, to rapidly produce clear and accurate documents. Edit for grammar, accuracy, organization, and spelling. Format documents for a professional, effective, and consistent appearance. Develop marketing and presentation materials for a wide array of customers and business lines and present to customers consistently to ensure a consistent pipeline of sole source opportunity meetings. Maintain proposal libraries, capabilities briefings and other marketing libraries. Travel as required to contract sites, partner offices, and on other company business. As directed by the VP Business Development, provide additional proposal support to the Division Directors. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Five (5) years of Government sales experience. Detailed understanding of Government acquisition regulations. Advanced knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite software to create presentations, author documents and conduct financial analysis. Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS A bachelor’s degree is preferred in the applicable discipline (Business). Former Government acquisition employee. Demonstrated knowledge of the SBA 8(a) program regulations (especially as it refers to Alaska Native Corporation entities). Proven experience identifying and capturing sole-source Federal Government contracts up to $10M aggregated. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and initiatives concurrently. WORK SCHEDULE Full-time. You may be required to work additional hours to complete assignments or projects. TRAVEL Up to 50% of the time (up to 10% travel by car and up to 40% travel by air). DRIVING REQUIREMENT Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling. The expected driving time is up to 10%. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. Seeing up close, must not be color blind.
