Responsibilities
- Repair and perform preventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, custom lifting and winding equipment, presses, dies, and industrial sewing machines.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and powered equipment using electrical, electronic testing equipment, and hand tools.
- Listen to and observe the operation of machines and equipment to detect malfunctions and diagnose problems.
- Together with staff, develop unique solutions to manufacturing challenges including new machines, machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools required to improve existing efficiencies or develop new products.
- Maintain facility to permit clean and reliable production operation.
- Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut, join, and build metal parts, jigs and fixtures.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, wire schematics and technical manuals.
- Maintain equipment logbooks of tasks performed regarding preventative maintenance, diagnoses of problems and repairs performed on equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Electrical and mechanical repair experience
- Working knowledge of hydraulic presses, pumps, motors, and control devices
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to diagnose and fix equipment
- Must be resourceful and able to think outside of the box
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background investigation
