Kitchen Steward

We're searching for hardworking individuals who are eager to contribute to the efficient operation of our busy kitchen as our next dishwasher. We require a dependable person who can jump in and assist with a range of kitchen activities. You will be scraping, sorting, and loading dishes into the dishwashing machine in addition to unloading dirty dishes brought in by bussers. Responsibilities: • Sweep and scrub kitchen floors to maintain a clean and tidy working environment • Scrape plates, sort dishes, and rinse glassware before putting them in the dishwasher to be cleaned • Ensure appropriate levels of detergent and cleaning supplies while also keeping track of dishwashing machine mechanical problems • Take part in employee meetings regularly to stay up to date on all policies and safety regulations • Place utensils and dishes in proper storage areas after unloading the dishwasher Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china, glass, and silver, and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. This position is also responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in preparing food and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and all storage areas.We are hiring for 2 different shifts. One of the shifts requires the ability to work weekend shifts. Qualifications: • Great physical health and stamina • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification Compensation: $14 per hour + tip pool
