This is a highly collaborative role providing exceptional administrative support to the HR team and Northeast business based out of Warren, MN.This role will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day tasks of the HR and Leadership team, including accurate records retention, data entry, recruitment, onboarding, special projects, and responding to general inquiries from employees and managers. This role will report into the HR Leader, providing support to other areas of the business as and when required.The HR team works in a fast-paced and high energy environment. Therefore, collaborative teamwork, a natural curiosity and desire to think big picture, as well as the ability to pivot and adapt quickly all while having fun are foundational to how we work.This role may require occasional travel to other states as and when required.Job ResponsibilitiesA first point of contact for employees & managers who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processesProviding first class customer service to employees by answering questions regarding policies and procedures and assisting in confidential personal mattersMaintaining personnel files in accordance with federal, state and company rules and regulationsCoordinating and leading new hire onboarding including employment verifications and benefits orientation regularly across all sitesSupports with recruitment of hourly production and admin roles, and takes a proactive approach to partnering with the recruitment team when critical roles need to be filled in a timely mannerCoordinating unemployment claims and benefits communication with our third-party services and payroll teams, escalating claims and appeals to the HR Manager when necessaryRunning reports from HRIS system for the HR Manager, and other members of the leadership team, on a weekly and monthly basisEntering employee status changes into UKG HRIS (new hires, terminations, job and pay changes, etc.)Organize new hire, and leaver surveys providing the HR Manager with analytical trendsProcessing changes in employee benefitsAssisting with planning and supporting employee engagement initiatives as outlined by the Culture CommitteeWork with leaders and employees to create a positive and contemporary work environment that respects every employee and help embed the culture and company valuesPartner effectively with our HR Centers of excellencePromote a diverse and inclusive environment supported by our I&D agendaUpdate communication boards and post flyers keeping up to date with local and federal regulation and legislationIdentify areas to improve processes, efficiency, and organizationSupport the HR team on various projects and/or initiatives throughout the yearOther duties as directed by the HR ManagerMinimum QualificationsHigh School degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience2 years of experience in Office Administration or an HR Administration / Coordinator roleKnowledge of employment practices, policies and procedures is requiredStrong administrative and organization skillsStrong oral and written communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task by planning effectively and prioritizing own workloadS lf-starter and ability to work independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations make judgments based on practice or previous experienceAbility to work with a high degree of confidentialityAbility to work in changing environments, see through complexity and promote an inclusive / diverse workforceAnalytical mindset & digital capability (proficiency with an HRIS, Microsoft 365 and HR data analytics tool)Additional Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a manufacturing environment supporting multiple functionsWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
