Our client is the largest third-party logistics company based in the Northwest. They ve been in business for the last fifty years Nationwide and internationally. Responsibilities Scheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs Review and respond to emails from both internal and external customers Review and prioritize daily workflow and expected customer and facility needs Accurate and timely communication with customers Advise the facilities and coordinators of any terminal and/or equipment issues in a timely manner. Proactively request information from the facility level re: forecasting of any upcoming equipment needs Verifying that booking information, BOL information, container availability, vessel receiving and vessel cut-offs are correct prior to dispatching Owner-Operators into the terminals Verifying that work orders have been input into MacMillan-Piper s proprietary system prior to dispatching Owner-Operators into the terminals Accepting or declining the facility dispatch request depending upon the validity of the information. Set-up of appointments and Quick Gates with the terminals for import loads where ever required. Ensuring equipment availability prior to dispatching Owner-Operators Dispatch Owner-Operators to the various terminals, facilities and customer locations Coordinate delivery appointments with external customers Record container moves of all Owner-Operators for real time representation of container locations and status Continuous coordination of container and chassis moves between facilities to ensure that equipment is moved as efficiently as possible. Coordinate Owner-Operator moves in an efficient and timely manner Daily review and reconciliation of facility yard reports The input of the Owner-Operator logs into the MP proprietary system Recording of all accessorial charges, including terminal standby, incurred by all Owner-Operators Tracking container free time to eliminate and minimize any per diem detention charges incurred Requirements Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any condition Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time You should be proficient with computer technology, learn company-specific programs, and access GPS monitoring programs. Ability to relay information and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment Must be able to pass drug testing and Background Checking
