FABRICATOR/ASSEMBLER

This position is an opportunity for an individual who has a preferred minimum of 6 months related experience in warehouse/fabrication. There will be a ninety-day provisional period. This position requires a diligent individual to fabricate, fill work orders, and prepare items for shipping. The position will require cutting and assembling/fabricating wire rope, chain, soft rope, and/or hose assemblies, etc. per customer specifications. Applicants should be proficient in use of standard measuring equipment (i.e. calipers, rulers, and micrometers) and have basic to advanced math skills. Applicants should have some knowledge of computer equipment (AS400 if possible) and other office equipment as needed, as well as filling out paper manufacturing orders. While performing the duties of this job, the individual regularly works with or near moving mechanical parts/machines. This person may work in humid or cool conditions. The person who fulfills this position will be regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, walk, and use hand to finger coordination. This person needs to have a safety management mindset, be able to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, be attentive to quality control, and have dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate various machines and equipment (i.e. forklift, presses, pallet jack, winding equipment, crimper, cutting tools, etc.). Leather steel-toe or composite toe boots are a requirement. This individual does not supervise another employee. However, they are required to work in harmony with other departments in the company. This position may require different shifts (7:00am -- 3:30pm or 7:30am -- 4:00pm) and reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
