Position Summary

Moody Center is offering a paid internship program for the Spring Semester. We are looking for individuals who want professional level experience and have the initiative, skills and drive to excel. This program will give individuals an opportunity to work alongside professionals in the live entertainment, sports, and venue management industry. This internship will provide experience with Digital Marketing. Interns will gain working knowledge of Digital Marketing in an arena setting. The Digital Marketing Intern will support the Moody Center digital footprint inclusive of social media, website, app, digital assets, email and social media calendar.

Internship details:

  • Pay: $13.00 / hour
  • Not to exceed 30 hours per week
  • Internship Dates: Spring 2025 Semester (Jan-May)
  • Location: Moody Center, on UT campus

This position will remain open until December 31, 2024.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with conceptualizing and curating content to be used to grow the Moody Center database and organic footprint across all digital platforms.
  • Assist with content creation and scheduling for social media channels to support events, venue, guest services, promotional activity and premium sales goals, etc.
  • Assist with uploading on all venue digital platforms.
  • Monitoring sites and engaging in real-time social media activities during event announcements and on sales, event days, etc.
  • Ensure synergy between Moody Center and University of Texas Athletics for social media, web & email to coordinate efforts.
  • Capture engaging, behind the scenes content day of event. Create recap summary and video to share with key stakeholders.
  • Assist with other duties as it relates to the marketing department & the requests by leadership team.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building.
Qualifications
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • Current student or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience in field
  • Proven ability to think strategically with a willingness to roll up sleeves and execute on projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a team setting
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and open to coaching
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • High level of demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain sensitive information
