SUMMARY:

The Business Development Manager, Parking Safety Specialist. This is a remote position. The position reports to the VP of Sales for the Motion Safety business. As the Business Development Manager of Parking Safety, you will play a fundamental role in developing and achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls and sending dozens of emails a day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales remotely. In addition to these skills, this person will need to travel from time to time to meet with key customers and/or channel partners, attend key trade shows or to gather valuable new insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • New Customer Development
  • Drive outbound sales campaigns to targeted customers.
  • Optimize impact of existing and new outbound sales campaigns.
  • Pursue qualified end-user leads. Create custom quotes and identify appropriate distributors to collaborate with an opportunity.
  • Sourcing new sale opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Routing qualified opportunities to further develop and close opportunities.
  • Assist the outside sales team by taking over ownership and follow-up of established sales deals.
  • Understand end market trends and industry best practices; utilize relevant value propositions to those end markets.
  • Collaborate with BU Sales Engineer and Independent Manufacturing Reps for sales in field support (such as: surveys/needs analysis, and product training) as required.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, and others as required to earn new business.
  • Attend key tradeshows or industry events
  • Manages the relationship with assigned or growing distribution accounts.
  • Proactively develops and maintains relationships with assigned distribution accounts.
  • Specialist to retain and expand business into existing distribution accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Work Closely with product management to support new product launches (including training) and other marketing campaigns in territory.
  • Continually grow verbal and written communications, listening, presentation, phone skills
  • Use and grow sales process with exceptional use of SalesForce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Teams, Outlook, Onesource, Power BI and other CRM and software.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of inside sales experience
  • Travel of 20-25%
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM
