Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group is partnered with a leading healthcare research institute to hire a qualified Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and implementing efficient and effective accounts payable processes. In this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity, managing a team of AP professionals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve departmental objectives. Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance and continuously optimize the accounts payable process to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard financial assets and monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify process bottlenecks and areas for improvement Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and company policies and implement and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud, errors, and duplicate payments Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and industry leading practices Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, and developing team members and foster a positive and collaborative work environment Qualifications/Background Profile: Bachelor's Degree Accounting, finance, or a related field. (Required) Certified Accounts Payable Manager or Accredited Payable Manager designation preferred. (Preferred) Minimum of 5 years extensive experience in accounts payable, with a proven track record of managing AP operations and demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and relevant accounting standards. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficient in financial systems and software, including ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills ------------------------------------------------------------------ This job is Hybrid Remote.
