Our client is a CNC contract manufacturer based just southwest of Chicago and was established more than 5 decades ago. They are a family run business and describe themselves as a one stop shop where they can serve their customers in full service style. Currently in 2 90,000+ sq. ft. facilities with 50+ CNC machines supporting production for high mix/ low volume projects. They believe strongly in the development of their people, and expect this role to grow into a leadership position down the line - average tenure being 20+ years for full time employments
Description
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Quoting new work for customers
- Developing and authoring process of record for close tolerance tooling, providing documentation and process control points as necessary
- Leading projects for customs in a one off tool shop as scheduled, including documentation of estimated cost versus actual cost
- Evaluating current manufacturing processes and prescribe improvements
- Participating in the final review process to match cost accounting and estimate and advise the sales force of any problems encountered
- Managing day to day orders with customers and suppliers
- Requires customer contact both to assist sales in answering customer questions as well as contacting the customer with problems and print question in the pre-contract stages or during production as they arise

Profile
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Quoting experience
- Knowledge of 3D CAD (preferred SolidWorks)
- Experience working in a CNC environment and improving processes
- Knowledge of working with customers; reviewing prints and engineering documents to quote projects and run manufacturing programs

Job Offer
- Base salary between: $90,000 to $120,000
