Forklift Operator- St. Charles, MO

Shift hours: Currently hiring on 2nd shift

  • Day shift: 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Night Shift:6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • 4 days on and 4 days off
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Plant operation is 24 hours a day 7 days a week - When demand increases, hours and days can increase or change.

Pay:

  • $20.28 per hour
    • Additional $0.75 per hour for hours worked on night shift

What your day will look like:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and palletizing orders, loading and unloading trucks, delivering supplies between plants, cleaning warehouse and cooler areas, and completing shipping and receiving paperwork. This position will have responsibilities including forklift operation, operating a mechanical device, and using the shrink wrap machine.

  • FIFO
  • Perform Cycle counts on all items in warehouse
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Follow all company safety rules, regulations and Ensure that training is up to date and documented.
  • Clean all equipment in accordance with the SOP's.
  • Maintain control of all equipment and tools.
  • Palletize product and layers stack up to five feet, place cover on and shrink
  • Ability to maneuver product within freezer and cooler to fill the space to its
  • Must understand flour and oil system and assist in unloading of these
  • Must be able to perform work in an unsupervised
  • Ability to load and unload semi-trailers in a safe and efficient
  • Ability to use a handheld scanner and complete shipping and receiving
  • Must be willing to assist in other duties and areas of the plant as assigned to do so.

What you have to offer:

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
  • Must have or be able to have or receive forklift and electric pallet jack certification
  • Must be able to use computer, pull and print Pick List to locate material in the system
  • Must be able to read and understand the HU system and complete tote, case, and pallet counts
  • Must have worked with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie or similar WMS.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience
  • Able to understand and follow all GMP's.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, gripping, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face mask, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
  • Able and willing to work in an environment with water, flour and other dust like
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold environments
