Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician and Trainer

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician and Trainer to support Army Aviation.This position is based in Huntsville, AL, and is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide test and evaluation (T&E) technical expertise per NAS-410 National Aerospace Standard (Revision 3). Non-destructive Testing (NDT), including Eddy Current (ET), Magnetic Particle (MT), Dye Penetrant (PT), and Ultrasonic (UT) NDT.
• Develop and implement NDT Plans, using the most up-to-date materials and testing standards.
• Perform analysis, test, and evaluation of NDT systems and processes.
• Plan and conduct analysis programs or studies to establish the feasibility of systems/subsystems/components meeting requirements and/or adequacy of design for NDT.
• Provide technical expertise in research and development of exploratory and advanced development projects, and/or programs to advance technologies relevant to NDT.

Required Experience:

• Current NDT Qualification/Certification NAS 410 Level 2 or 3 certification in ET, UT, MT, PT.
• Current ASNT certification in the applicable methods is acceptable.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and experience working with Army and DOD databases to extract data for analysis.
• Working knowledge of Army Database software applications such as ULLS-A, ACN, RIMFIRE, FMAS, ASAP, MCDS, JDRS, PDREP, and TAMMS-A.
• Proven record in training technical procedures and methods.
• Minimum of 10 yrs. programmatic and/or logistics experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required or technical equivalence in programmatic or logistics field of expertise.
• Microsoft Office, Strong written and oral communication skills (memorandums, briefs, familiarization with DoD policy),
• Self-starter, detail-oriented, and good organizational skills.
• Aviation aircraft/major weapon system maintenance, recognition, and readiness
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
• Ability to intelligently brief and converse with all levels of leadership.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task; and prioritize internal and external tasks/projections.
