As an intern, you will make an impact on the company by contributing to hands-on projects and critical business needs. You will own a project from start to finish with a goal to make a real business impact on Sun Country's operations. Upon successful completion of the summer internship program, you may be considered for employment opportunities within Sun Country. The internship dates are June - August 2025. Essential roles and responsibilities of a Ground Operations Intern: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Participate in the Ground Operations Quality Assurance program by conducting ground handling station operation audits for above-wing, below-wing, and fueling activities. Travel will be required (estimated at 50%). Assist in data analysis of collected quality assurance program and other Ground Operations available data Develop and complete an internship project focusing on Ground Operations quality assurance or related discipline Communicate with involved departments, managers, directors, and vendors Enhances safety promotion by acting as an ambassador of the SMS within the Ground Operations organization Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines The qualifications we are looking for in a Ground Operations Intern include: Must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college with a S.T.E.M. based major Minimum sophomore status by the time the internship begins Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check Able to complete the full 10-week internship program (June-August 2025) Preferred Skills On- or off-campus leadership experience College level statistics coursework Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills High degree of organization, self-motivation and creative thinking ADDITIONAL NOTES This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This job will also require you to frequently operate at the airport at the ticket counter, gate, ramp, and baggage areas in all weather conditions.
