In this position, you’ll play a key role in creating liquid paint samples, conducting physical property tests, and performing color matching on wood substrates. If you have a high school diploma and a passion for problem-solving, we’ll provide the training you need to thrive. 

 

  • Job Title: Technical Assistant I

  • Job Duration: 12 Months

  • Job Location: Springdale PA USA 15144

  • Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm

  • Pay Rate: $20.50/hr.


Job Descriptions:

  • Level I: 0-3 years. 

  • Provides support for technical issues.

  • Identifies, researches and resolves routine technical problems of low complexity.

  • Technicians are responsible for producing liquid samples by following a formulation recipe in the blending of paint samples.

  • Typical sample sizes are ½ pint to 1 quart.

  • Occasionally, 5 gallon pails must be produced as needed for internal and external equipment trials.

  • Application and preparation of coated wood, vinyl, or fiberglass samples by following application process sequence as directed.

  • Physical property testing of coated samples including adhesion, abrasion resistance, stain/chemical resistance, scratch resistance, gloss retention, etc.?

  • Color matching on wood substrates using stains and/or with opaque systems.

  • High School Diploma

  • Two years of college level math and science or equivalent experience desirable, but not required.
