Claims Resolution Specialist

Advantage Resourcing is seeking a dedicated Claims Resolution Specialist to join a reputable healthcare company specializing in durable medical equipment in Lafayette, LA.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm
Pay: $18 per hour
Job Details:
- Address and respond to back collectors' email group.
- Review and comprehend medical documentation efficiently.
- Manage back collectors' aging bucket and handle claim denials.
- Maintain effective communication with co-workers and report concerns to the Collections Manager.
- Perform various clerical tasks such as answering phones, faxing, and emailing.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits from insurance companies.
- Proficiency in medical insurance processes, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Working knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA regulations, billing procedures, and medical terminology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Collections Specialist or 2 years in Billing and Collections.
- 2 years of experience in an insurance office or doctor's office, or 3 years of general office experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
