Our client, a well-established organization in Maryland, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage critical financial processes and ensure seamless vendor payments. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organizations financial health.

Accounts Payable/AP Specialist *****
AA degree or higher = a plus.
2+ years accounts payable experience.
Accounts Payable/AP Specialist *****
Efficiently process vendor invoices and payments through the accounts payable system with precision and timeliness.
Validate invoice details, including quantities, materials, and pricing, against purchase orders.
Accurately code expenses and confirm payment approvals are secured.
Enter data into the accounts payable system, ensuring all entries are accurate.
Reconcile monthly vendor statements and address any discrepancies.
Handle both automated and manual payment disbursements, prioritizing discounts when applicable.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues professionally and promptly.
Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts within the general ledger.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes for the accounts payable function.
Prepare and submit annual 1099 forms for independent contractors.
Keep vendor records organized and up-to-date, including digitizing and attaching invoices and other documentation.
Perform additional related duties as needed to support the finance team.
