Audio Visual Field Engineer

The AV Field Engineer is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related systems. This position requires thinking independently and working within the specified guidelines with minimal supervision.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to lead small to large-scale AV projects including new construction.
Assumes the responsibility of leading a team of technicians on large-scale AV buildouts.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting accurately daily to the assigned project manager
Analyze and interpret system drawings.
Perform installation, adjustment, and operation of audiovisual equipment such as cameras, speakers, displays, projectors, and microphones.
Cable management above ceilings, under tables, and within racks
Pull and terminate various types of cabling connections (CAT6, Crestron DM, Cresnet, RS232, Speaker wire, mic wire, XLR connectors, phoenix connectors, soldering, etc.)
Ability to solder.
Registration and setting changes of VTC codec endpoints (Cisco, Poly)
Proficient with QSC, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, Cisco, and Poly hardware components
Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLANs, and VPN
Perform hardware upgrades to all AV components.
Proficient with Crestron Toolbox, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, and Shure software
Adjust and fine-tune digital signal processors (DSP) including QSC and Biamp
Verify that installations are correct and recommend corrective action if necessary.
Ability to work with a remote system programmer to load and diagnose problems and interfaces.
Commission complex systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems for final testing and turnover to clients.
Comfortable and able to communicate with C-Level executives.
Ability to perform knowledge transfer and educate customers on installed equipment and receive a final sign-off from the customer showing job completion.
Compile and submit all project-related deliverables including redlining CAD documents.

Certifications: CTS-I, Extron AVA, Q-SYS Level I & II, DMC-E-4K, DMC-D-4K, AMX-ACE, Biamp TesiraFORTE
WORK ENVIRONMENT/EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.
When working on-site, will be required to wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and a hard hat.
6+ years' experience in collaboration or Audio-Visual Integration
High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Must be eligible to rent a car, including meeting age requirements and possessing a valid driver's license.
