Software Test Engineer
Key Role: Develop systems that you can anticipate and preempt future issues. Evolve skills into strategy through a long path of software development accomplishments and understand how all the pieces of an IT ecosystem fit together. Use a combination of knowledge, skill, and expertise to take on the toughest challenges in the IC. Work to build the future of technology in the IC. Basic Qualifications: Experience testing or developing software applications Experience with designing and executing test scripts, test plans, and procedures and documenting the expected and actual results Experience in coordinating and executing acceptance testing Experience in requirements traceability Experience with test methodologies, software release cycle, test effort estimation, and tracking Experience in Linux or UNIX environments Experience generating and managing test data TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph HS diploma or GED Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire Additional Qualifications: Experience with testing frameworks like Cucumber Experience with Load or Performance testing Experience with JMeter Experience testing Cloud-based architectures and test automation Experience with an Agile release methodology Knowledge of government contracting practices Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
