The role of the Fuels Manager is to ensure the proper operation of process equipment such as the Tank Farm and Fuels buildings and other central systems to support the Powertrain Lab as well. The Fuels Manager must execute their role within the Facility Management program which allows an organization to manage and oversee the fuel operations and Spare parts inventory.

Education/Experience

Associates or Bachelor degree preferred and/or equivalent experience. Three plus years of facility management and automotive manufacturing, or industrial experience recommended. Must have strong written and verbal communication, detail oriented and must have extensive knowledge on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook, Access)

Fuels Manager responsibilities for the following support personnel JLL UAW Trades - Electrician, HVAC, and Helper

Manufacturing Process Equipment Tank Farm Operations, Reporting, Maintenance, and Repair Assist in maintaining Fuel specific spare parts and specialty tools. Assist in the diagnosis and repair of all Fuel equipment. Oversee routine and regulatory preventative maintenance. In charge of Drum storage for Test Wings 1, 2, 3 and Racing. Maintain WPO First in first out Proper labeling Shipping fuel samples (collecting, packaging, shippers, etc.) Monitoring Fuel levels for Racing and R&D Operations Daily readings up to twice per day (manually until BMS is fully operational) Coordinate fuel fills (TW3 and Racing) Monitoring and maintaining of fuel data for Test Wings 1,2 and 3. Working with the shift supervisors on maintaining the spare parts inventories for all of our client areas. Making sure min/max quantities for spare parts are reviewed in Maximo. Uploading volumetric calculations into Santorin. Passing fuel data to Racing and Wing 3 when new fuel arrives. Coordinate all fuel deliveries once on site for all Operations. Reviewing BOL Maintaining SOPs, TIS, and pre-tasks for each fuel operation. Data Collection Usage data for Environmental reports

Mechanical Systems HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilating, Air conditioning and Refrigeration) Indoor Air Quality Temperature Control Scavenge Exhaust Systems Preventative Maintenance (Scheduled maintenance to prevent break down) Predictive Maintenance (Use of equipment or tests to predict when maintenance will be needed)
