Assistant Project Manager - Water and Wastewater Pipeline Construction

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
State Utility Contractors, a leading environmental service facilities builder in the Carolinas, is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Pipeline Division at our corporate office in Monroe. Responsibilities:
•Help receive quotes and negotiate with subcontractors
•Facilitate crews and subcontractors on a day-to-day basis
•Manage the schedule, budget, and quality of work done on all projects
•Complete Quantity takeoffs and order materials
•Correspondence with the client on any necessary tasks
•Develop change orders
•Maintain RFI’s, submittals, schedules, as builts
•Confirm safety standards are followed by employees and subcontractors
•Estimating
•Develop and issue purchase orders and subcontracts
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Civil Engineering Technology is preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater pipeline construction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and analyze documents effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines.
•Computer and technical skills (proficient in Excel and Microsoft Project preferred)
•Desire to learn the construction project management field and grow with a company
•Professionally represent the company to the owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, government officials, and inspectors
•Detail-oriented and driven
