Department OverviewAt Motorola Solutions we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.Job Description Responsibilities include: Responsible for safety, emc, wireless certification for video security products/cameras with a focus on cellular certification Serve as a subject matter expert on interpreting cellular/RF standards and certification requirements Work proactively with electrical and mechanical engineering design team during development process to ensure products will pass certification Ensure products are tested in accordance with safety, emc, RF and carrier standards Advocate on behalf of Motorola Solutions with the carriers, test labs, agencies and governing bodies Interface with suppliers along with industry partners to ensure products and components meet regulatory compliance Produce and maintain required compliance certificates, test reports to show conformance to regulatory requirements Support regulatory compliance process improvement activities Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in regulatory compliance for multimedia equipment Preference will be given to candidates with RF and cellular certification experience Experience working with carriers, certification bodies and test labs Experience with country specific wireless type approvals including FCC, ICES, IFT, Anatel, KC, MIC Experience obtaining PTCRB and GCF compliance Extensive knowledge of the following RF standards: Cellular: FCC Part 96, FCC Part 90, FCC Part 22H, FCC Part 24E, FCC Part 27, RSS-199, RSS-192, RSS-132, RSS-139, RSS-130, RSS-140, RSS-133, RSS-195, EN 301 511, EN 301 908-13, EN 301 908-1, EN 301 908-25, EN 301 908-2 5 GHz Wi-Fi: FCC Part 15 Subpart E, RSS-247, EN 300 440, EN 301 893 Experience obtaining carrier certifications: AT&T, Verizon, Rogers, Telus, Bell Experience writing safety/emc/RF test reports and producing technical files/packages Must be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have the ability to explain standard requirements clearly Goal driven and good business acumen Able to work in a fast paced environment Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent #LI-CA1 #LI-REMOTE Basic Requirements 7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or engineering Bachelors Degree Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
