Responsibilities
Evaluates and treats speech therapy patients under physician orders in the acute, outpatient, home health care or skilled nursing facilities as assigned
Develops treatment plans for all patients assigned to case load
Maintains appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical record
Ongoing commitment to reducing costs and improving productivity in the speech therapy department
Maintains positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family
Communicates effectively in writing and verbally with all appropriate members of the patient’s healthcare team
Qualifications Education:
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. Certified Clinical Competency Certification or completing Clinical Fellowship year.
Licensure:
Speech Pathology licensure in Iowa or eligible for licensure in
Iowa,
Valid Iowa driver’s license
Experience:
Entry level/new graduate acceptable
Certification/Course:
Maintain Basic Life Support certification
