Summary This position is located at Fort Leonard Wood MWR Financial Management. Responsibilities Ensures accuracy and timeliness of accounting documents. Determines transactions are properly processed, and that total activity agrees with predetermined control tables. Maintains correspondence/messages pertaining to financial records/accounting. Maintains assigned subsidiary ledgers for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, customer deposits, unearned income, annual leave payable, equipment, prepaid items and central storeroom accounts. Maintains multiple assigned journals and ledgers. Analyses and reviews reports and machine listing are balanced and in proper format and sort sequence, verifying accounting data is valid and adheres to prescribed regulatory manuals and procedures. Completes posting documents with back-up attached. Classifies erroneous conditions referring complex errors/problems to the accountant. Takes corrective action in reports and listings. Verifies corrected copy and recommends changes. Codes documents and posts to appropriate ledger/journal. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Work experience performing accounting support duties as described above. You will be rated based solely off of the information provided within your resume, so the information provided on your resume should be clear and specific. Assumptions will not be made regarding your experience and the duties performed. HIGHLY PREFERRED: One (1) year work experience handling cash. One (1) year work experience with RecTrac or Child and Youth Management System. One (1) year work experience with internal controls: e.g. protecting assets by performing unscheduled cash counts, reviewing document for secure handling and storage, and regulation review. To meet Highly Preferred eligibility, you must meet all Minimum Qualifications and one of the above Highly Preferred Qualifications and it must be clearly detailed on your resume. Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
