About the Role
- The "Data Center MARCUS (Moves, Adds, Retrofits, Changes & Utility Systems) On-Site Construction Project Manager" oversees the local implementation of the clients MARCUS PROGRAM, which involves upgrade and retrofit projects, as well as managing the site-specific responsibilities related to Moves, Adds, Retrofits, Changes & Utility Systems" and various MEP Infrastructure tasks across the entire site. This role will also encompass a Controls System upgrade project, and any relevant controls experience would be advantageous. An additional duty will be to act as the overall MARCUS Program Manager for all Data Center Retrofit Projects within current data center facilities, guiding them from the design phase to the construction phase and finally to the closeout/handover. All tasks are carried out with the understanding of serving as an Owner's Representative; in other words, you are acting as an extension of the client/owner. Responsibilities
- Program Management: Collaborate with contractors and design teams to establish project schedules and budgets. Support pre-qualification, bidding, and contract negotiations. Ensure compliance with city approvals and permitting processes. Manage cost estimates and coordinate value engineering efforts. Construction Management: Oversee general contractors and vendors, ensuring budget and schedule adherence. Implement change control processes and ensure quality assurance. Maintain document control and track key project documents. Project Close Out: Initiate closeout processes early, ensuring all documentation is submitted. Resolve outstanding issues and manage final accounting, invoicing, and payments. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 5 or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience. Professional Engineer License is a plus. Required Skills: MEP Hyperscale Data Center Project Management Preferred Skills:
