CNC Machinist
Cambridge Valley Machining provides comprehensive design through manufacturing services for startups, Fortune 500 businesses, and other domestic and global customers. CVM is a proud supplier within the Space and the Defense industries. We are seeking to fill CNC Machinist positions on first, second, and third shifts.
The CNC Machinist is responsible to:
Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic and many specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
Set controls to regulate machining; enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine dimensions and tolerances.
Design and build fixtures to meet machining specifications.
Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Program computers and electronic instruments such as numerically controlled machine tools.
Support 5S by cleaning machines, tooling, parts, and all associated work areas
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years’ CNC Machining experience
Strong math skills, able to read blueprints, drawings, and engineering information
Must be a citizen of or person admitted lawfully for permanent residence into the United States.
All Shifts Available:
Standard week Mon - Fri
First - 7am to 3pm
Second – 3pm to 11pm
Third – 11pm to 7am
Pay Rate: $26.00 - $36.00
