Lead Software Development Engineer

Employer: MetLife Group, Inc.Position: Lead Software Development EngineerWork Arrangement: Telecommuting position - can be performed anywhere in the U.S.Duties: Design interactive voice response (IVR) flows and new IVR applications and integration based on business need. Create test transactions, test, debug and deploy IVR applications, and troubleshoot and resolve production problems in IVR applications. Conduct analysis or organizational needs and goals to develop and implement application systems. Monitor operating efficiency of existing application systems, review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing for a large-scale system, and maintain records to document program development and revisions. Provide technical support to vendor resources.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronics Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation performing IVR application development using Nuance Voice Recognition, Eclipse and Java development with web services and database integration.
