Position Summary
The person in this role will be responsible for stocking, issuing, and maintaining production tooling.
Responsibilities
Receive, store and issue production tooling, consumables & calibrated gaging.
Accurately maintain records of all tools and equipment in inventory.
Inspect items received into tool crib for defects, wear or damage and report any issues to the Engineering team or supervisor.
Repair, service and lubricate equipment as required to ensure tools and equipment remain in good working condition.
Mark and identify tooling & equipment using identification tags and barcodes.
Manage spares and replacements to keep production tooling & equipment in good operating order.
Work effectively with purchasing department and supervisors to maintain adequate inventory of consumables and tooling spares.
Performs preventative maintenance on tooling & equipment as required.
Assist in identifying tool issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessary.
Perform safety audit observations as required of the tool crib area.
Perform hydraulic fluid analysis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
2+ years of experience working with inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have basic math skills.
Must be available for overtime and weekends as needed.
Comfortable with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, and using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certified.
Experience reading blueprints/technical drawings.
Ability to use power tools and hand tools as well as heavy equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, etc.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industry standards.
Detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency.
Highly motivated and a self-starter.
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of challenging situations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
