You will play an integral role in accounting for and preparing reconciliations, managing taxes, and supporting the financial statement preparation process.
What You’ll Do:
Become an expert in company operations, with a strong understanding of transaction flow from initiation to general ledger reporting.
Prepare and review accurate journal entries for income statement and balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with timelines and standards.
Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations and conduct income statement analyses
Analyze and present financial data in clear, concise reports for stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date on US GAAP standards and ensure their proper application in all financial matters.
Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance and integrity in all processes.
Take on ad hoc accounting projects with creativity and a focus on continuous improvement.
Stay organized while managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or related professional roles (preferred but not required).
Experience in the retail or healthcare industry is a plus.
Blackline experience is preferred but not required.
Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to handle large data sets.
Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Solution-oriented mindset, continuously seeking ways to optimize processes and improve efficiencies.
