POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for daily reporting functions for the Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino; compiles, analyzes, evaluates, summarizes, reconciles, adjusts, and/or reclassifies accounting data to provide timely and accurate financial reporting; maintains financial records in accordance with established procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Follows GAAP to compile, analyze, evaluate, and summarize accounting and financial data from the daily casino operation to prepare daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual journal entries to the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
Prepare and review financial documents, reports, and statements.
Responsible for all accounting procedures, including calculations of various tax returns, month-end and year-end closures, and advising on general financial matters.
Reconcile, adjust, and/or reclassify accounting and financial entries as needed.
Maintain detailed listings and schedules of contents of all balance sheet accounts through monthly account reconciliations and is responsible for daily and monthly bank accounts reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management of operating reports.
Maintain a master list of monthly journal entries.
Prepare and manage accruals and accrual reversals.
Ensure recurring entries are updated or terminated at appropriate trigger points.
Notifies Controller of any potential threats or delays and researches and resolves discrepancies.
Assist in special projects as required by Management.
Adhere to guest service standards by providing excellent guest service.
Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Exhibit strong financial analysis acumen to prepare financial reports, statements and projections. This is normally acquired through a combination of a Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or three to five years of experience in progressive accounting positions. Casino gaming experience preferred.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Proven knowledge and skill using automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Acumatica ERP preferred.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrate ability and willingness to work in a team.
Detail oriented.
Critical thinking and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Proficient knowledge and skill using Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel and 10-key skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent math skills.
Unquestionable integrity and work ethics.
