Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and caring Certified Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team! As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate has a current license and at least three years of experience with Dentrix. If you’re friendly, outgoing, and committed to creating a fantastic dental experience, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities 
  • Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
  • Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
  • Take digital dental x rays, pack cord,  make temporaries, take dental impressions and pour study models, and accurately record medical history, treatment and exam information
  • Prep sterilized equipment per OSHA  and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
  • Assist dentist during procedures and exams and anticipate dentists needs
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
  • Schedule appointments and understand dental insurance
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
  • Current Certified Expanded Duties Dental Assistant certificate or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure by the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB) and CPR certificate
  • Previous experience as a expanded duties dental assistant for a minimum of 3 years
  • Strong computer and data entry skills, Dentrix knowledge a must
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly, concisely, foster collaborative relationships with the staff and patients.
  • Ability to provide high-quality patient care and work independently
