The ***** Our client has entered into a strategic partnership that will provide them with nearly $500M of capital to pursue acquisitions.
The ***** Reporting to the CAO, the Director will lead all SEC reporting functions; maintain compliance with SOX framework; ensure effective internal controls and processes; and conduct technical accounting research to support complex transactions and ensure adherence to GAAP.
The ***** The CAO is seeking an individual who can be a successor.
Compensation/***** Highly competitive base + Bonus + 100% company paid medical and dental coverage + unlimited vacation.
Hybrid work environment; 3 days in office in Bostons Financial District
The Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accountings responsibilities *****
Lead all SEC reporting functions, including preparation and review of 10-K, 10-Q, and other filings.
Maintain compliance with SOX framework, ensuring effective internal controls and processes.
Conduct technical accounting research to support complex transactions and ensure adherence to GAAP.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support audits and resolve technical accounting issues.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Support M&A activities with financial due diligence, as needed.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
8+ years of experience in public accounting or industry, with a strong background in SEC reporting and SOX compliance.
Real Estate industry experience highly preferred.
Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
Proven ability to lead a team, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
