High Pressure Boiler Operator

Piscataway, NJ Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers and related equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry standards. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of boiler systems, including pumps, compressors, and control systems. Adjust controls and settings to maintain optimal steam generation and pressure levels as required for various operations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Maintain detailed logs and records of operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and ensure system reliability. Adhere to all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Support emergency response activities related to steam and boiler systems as necessary.
Must haves: High school diploma or equivalent Valid High Pressure Boiler Operator’s License or equivalent certification required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers in an industrial or biotech environment. Strong understanding of boiler control systems, steam distribution, and auxiliary equipment. Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to boiler operation. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other: Technical certification or training in boiler operation (preferred)
