MHS is currently seeking a full-time Certified Nursing or Medical Assistant (CNA or CMA) to join an amazing team in a diverse setting to positively impact the lives of youth! The CNA assists the registered nurses to provide high quality health care to the students (assisting with admissions & discharge procedures of students) in a 24-hour 40-bed Health Center infirmary & in the three school-based clinics. Also, they will be transporting (driving school vehicle) and accompanying students to and from emergency room visits.
Work schedule: This role works 40 hours per week, day shift flex schedule with hours within 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
At the Health Center infirmary every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and at the School Clinic, Monday – Friday.
Hourly pay rate: $17.74 to $23.68, pay is determined based on experience. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid current certification from a state approved Nursing or Medical Assistant training program or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year experience as certified nursing or medical assistant.
Experience working with & around children & adolescents, preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid certifications, required.
Valid PA driver’s license in good standing, required.
OSHA trained blood-borne pathogens.
Physically able to lift and assist sedated students.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills.
HIPAA compliant to maintain student confidentiality.
Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS Staff are role models for MHS Students.
