We are seeking an experienced
OSI-PI Engineer
to join a clients project in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of OSI-PI systems, including the ability to lead design, implement best practices, and mentor team members while being hands-on with equipment connections to PI systems using
OPC
and
Kepware . Key Responsibilities: Design and Architecture : Develop and implement OSI-PI system designs aligned with industry best practices for Pharma/Biotech applications. Best Practices Implementation : Ensure data integrity, security, and performance by adhering to and developing system and process standards. Mentoring : Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members on OSI-PI technologies and processes. Hands-On Integration : Connect real-world equipment and systems to OSI-PI using OPC and Kepware configurations. System Optimization : Monitor and optimize OSI-PI performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and provide long-term solutions. Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for OSI-PI system configurations and workflows. Qualifications: Technical Expertise : Proven experience with
OSI-PI system design, configuration, and deployment . Hands-on experience with
OPC (DA/UA)
and
Kepware
for connecting equipment to PI systems. Knowledge of Pharma/Biotech industry standards and regulatory requirements. Skills : Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in scripting for PI (e.g., AF SDK, PI Web API) is a plus. Familiarity with automation protocols like Modbus, BACnet, or Ethernet/IP is advantageous. Professional Attributes : Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills for mentoring and cross-disciplinary discussions. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in validated environments (e.g., GxP compliance). Familiarity with integration into MES, SCADA, or ERP systems. Relevant certifications in OSI-PI, OPC, or related technologies.
