About the Role
Quanteam is seeking a
Data Business Analyst
to join a strategic consulting project with a client specializing in the energy sector. This role involves collaborating closely with both business and technical teams to define requirements, translate them into specifications, and contribute to the implementation of data-driven solutions within the clients IT landscape. Key Responsibilities Business & IT Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into clear, actionable requirements. Specification & Documentation:
Develop detailed business specifications and documentation for data solutions, ensuring they align with project objectives and technical feasibility. Co-Implementation of Test Automation:
Work closely with the development and testing teams to co-implement automated tests, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Data Environment Expertise:
Serve as a subject matter expert on data-related topics, ensuring that business processes and IT solutions are aligned with data governance and quality objectives. Collaboration with Technical Teams:
Partner with Data Engineers, Architects, and other IT teams to ensure smooth implementation of business requirements within the data platform and cloud environments. SQL Proficiency:
Use SQL to query databases, validate data, and support the development of business-critical reports and analytics. Technical Skills Strong understanding of data environments and data-driven projects. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation. Familiarity with IT and data architecture, especially in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.). Experience in working within Agile methodologies and with cross-functional IT teams. Knowledge of data governance principles and how they apply to business solutions. Soft Skills Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language. Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify problems and propose actionable solutions. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results. Preferred Qualifications Senior-level experience as a Business Analyst in IT or data-driven projects. Experience in the energy sector or with large-scale data platforms is a plus. Familiarity with tools and frameworks for automated testing would be beneficial.
