Volt is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Set-up Technician to work in Oceanside, Ca.

Schedule: 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 10:30 pm - 7 am

Available to work Friday, may be needed for 1/2 day

Job Summary The Maintenance Set-up Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, ongoing maintenance, and production equipment repairs on a routine and emergency basis. This position improves total operating efficiency related to minimizing process downtime, and maintaining process preventive maintenance.

As a Maintenance Set-up Technicina you will:

Assemble and disassemble industrial machinery. Inspect components Replace damaged components. Troubleshoot and repair errors found during the assembly cycle Setup all raw equipment to include and not limited to grinder, mixer, conveyor belts, stuffers, clippers, string tiers, flaker, microwave, and Vemac Setup all RTE equipment to include and not limited to all slicers, all conveyors, all packaging machines, chub line, peeling room, and pack-off areas. Perform any changeovers as needed on any production line for the following day. Go over all equipment to make sure they are in good working order and notify the maintenance team of any issues. Perform general maintenance on all equipment to include but not limited to greasing, oil changes, small parts exchange. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and recommending changes within own area of responsibility. Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs through regular adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), performance of sanitation audits, food safety checks (HACCP), and product quality checks conducted according to organization policies. Actively participate in prevention and correction of quality-related errors. Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times. Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Education, Training: High School Diploma/GED

1 year experience in Maintenance, preferred 1 year of experience in food industry, preferred

Ability to use customary shop equipment such as a drill press, hydraulic press, grinders, sanders, band saws Ability to read, understand and follow industrial machinery instructions High technical aptitude Ability to problem-solving skills High attention to detail Mechanical aptitude including good hand and eye coordination is required Good interpersonal skills. Good decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to prioritize workload and develop an organized plan of processing and follow-through. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt to frequent changes in the workload. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong work ethic with a commitment to high performance, quality, and service excellence.

Pay Rate: 20.00/hr
