Responsibilities:

* Responsible for safely executing dredging, reclamation, towing and disposal operations plus all related site activities. * Manage all daily site-based dredging, reclamation, towing, and disposal activities by providing leadership and guidance to the Project Engineer, Dredge Captain, Production Engineer, Safety Advisor, Leverman and Fill Placer on all project matters to safely execute project efforts in accordance with project requirements and GLDD policies. * Promote operations-led transformative safety and GLDD's Incident- and Injury-Free culture at all levels. * Participate in pre-shift meeting when on-board vessels or fill operations, as well as Job Safety Analyses, site safety discussions, ESQ action items, Near-Miss (Close-call) documentation and discussions, pressing forward on Safety Action Plans. * Meet daily with the SSHA and contact the DSHEM for safety-related assistance, as needed. * Be 100% familiar with our contracts' specifications, requirements, and ensure compliance throughout site operations. * Establish, with the Area Sponsor and Contract Manager, a detailed plan of execution for the project and implement the plan. * Effectively communicate established plans to all operations staff including safety, dredge staff and engineering teams. * Serve as primary contact with the Dredge Captain, Chief Engineer, Crew, Project Engineer, SSHA, Site Superintendent, Fill Placer and Production Engineer. * Communicate and meet with Dredge Captains and Engineering teams daily to review dredge performance. * Manage crews effectively and efficiently, scaling the work force and/or hours up and down as necessary. * Mentor project staff. * Train and guide the Assistant Project Manager, Site Superintendent and all Engineering team members. * Coordinate and communicate dredge and attendant plant issues with the Dredge Manager and Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

* Five (5) years of experience in dredging or marine construction. * Other experience and skills must include:

o Management of dredging site operations

o Critical Path Scheduling

o Microsoft Office Suite applications

* Domestic travel to unanticipated U.S. company worksite locations required 100% of the time. * Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
